Narrative Arc. Think back on your life. Chances are you’re different than you were twenty or thirty years ago. Your situation changed over time, and that changed you. The same thing needs to happen in your story. The arc in your story is the change that takes your character’s life from one condition at the beginning to a different condition at the end.
